About

Born and raised in the south Florida suburbs, Sarah is a genre fluid writer/director based in Los Angeles. A hopeless romantic, she thrives in telling love-conquers-all stories and digs the intersection of fantasy and reality.

Sarah was one of five filmmakers selected to executive produce and direct a half-hour pilot for the PlayStation Emerging Filmmaker Program., which premiered on the PlayStation Network. She is a Ryan Murphy Half Initiative fellow, and has been recognized as a finalist in the Warner Brothers, Shondaland Series Fest, Viacom ViewFinder, and DGA’s Commercial Directors Diversity Program. She has several feature film projects in various stages of development as both a writer/director, and recently penned a feature film for ACE Entertainment (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before).

Her directing clients include Google, Nike, Converse, and Caesars Palace, and she also served as a creative director of digital content for the Tony-award winning Broadway production of An American in Paris. Her music video work has garnered millions of views and Billboard premieres for bands KEZAR and The Brevet.

Her period musical short film, The Bright Side, received a Student Emmy Award and the ASC student Heritage Award. She earned her BA in Broadcast Journalism from The University of South Florida and an MFA in Film Directing from Chapman University, where she was closely mentored by filmmakers Martha Coolidge, Andy Lane, Michael Phillips, and Leslie Dixon. Sarah has shadowed filmmakers Ryan Case and Melanie Mayron, and assisted writer/director Nancy Meyers.

When not writing and directing, Sarah volunteers with LA based non-profit WRITE GIRL (https://www.writegirl.org/about), dabbles in cocktail making (@backyardbarcart), and gives cozy snugs to her golden retriever (@tobythegoldie).

She is represented by VERVE, Good Fear, and Nelson Davis Law.
